The main heroes of the stories, Iole and her canine friend Ulysses, are based on real-life characters.
Euthymia Diamanti, the author of the books, is a Mental Health Counsellor (BSc (Hons) Psychology-MSc Family, Adolescent and Child Mental Health, Member of the British Psychological Society), and as such the stories are focused in promoting diversity awareness, acceptance and resilience, while embracing every child’s uniqueness.
E. Diamanti creates a special and fun universe – supported by Hiorogosu’s hand-drawn illustrations – that takes both children and grown-ups back to a more magical and innocent time promoting, in parallel, modern and avant-garde values for the future adults of this world.
